What is the Inman Aligner?
The Inman Aligner is an orthodontic appliance that is used to correct problems with the upper and lower front teeth. The main advantage with the Inman Aligner system is that it can achieve rapid teeth straightening with some cases taking as little as 6-8 weeks to complete.
How does it work?
It works by applying gentle forces on both sides of the teeth (front and back) simultaneously, to effectively “squeeze” them into position as seen in the animation.
The Inman aligner has some of the advantages of the Invisalign system in that it is a removable appliance that can be removed to eat and clean your teeth and thus does not interfere with your oral hygiene routine. The Inman Aligner is also considerably cheaper than Invisalign so straightening your teeth may be more affordable that you first thought.
However the appliance is not as discrete as Invisalign and has a metal bar that is visible across the front of your teeth. The Inman aligner cannot be used to treat more complex orthodontic problems involving the back teeth and full arches, where Invisalign may be more appropriate.
