Try Our Bewitching London Tooth Whitening Treatment

386703_blogThe foods you eat, combined with the wear and tear of daily life and the ageing process, can contribute to discolouration of the teeth. Over time, the teeth tend to start to lose their natural whiteness, but if your teeth are looking a little yellow, there are ways to inject some sparkle and create a lighter, brighter smile.

With our tooth whitening treatments, we are able to lighten the shade of the teeth significantly, to give your pearly whites a gorgeous glow.

Stain removal

We offer in-chair express whitening treatment, as well as effective stain removal. Although prophyflex stain removal doesn’t actually lighten the shade of the teeth, it does remove surface stains and this often makes the teeth look much cleaner and whiter.

Express whitening

With express Zoom! whitening, we are able to lighten the teeth by several shades in just one hour. We apply whitening agent to the teeth and then activate it using a light beam; this procedure isn’t painless and you won’t feel anything All we ask you to do is pop on a pair of protective glasses and then sit back and relax; we will happily put some music on for you or you can chill out in peace. After just one hour, your smile will look noticeable brighter.

The benefits of whitening treatment

White smiles look youthful and healthy and although the only change to the smile is cosmetic, whitening can also have a really positive impact on confidence. Your smile is one of your most noticeable features, so it’s understandable to feel conscious about others seeing it if you’re not happy with the look of your teeth. Whitening treatment makes your smile look more attractive, so you won’t need to feel worried or anxious when others see your smile anymore. Whitening treatment is simple, quick and completely painless and it is an affordable means of making yourself look and feel better.

London Bridge’s 4 Toothbrush Tips To Treat Tooth Decay

361951_blogYour toothbrush is one of the best weapons against tooth decay, so it’s important to use it in the best way possible. Here are 4 toothbrush tips to treat and prevent decay:

  1. Change your toothbrush regularly: the bristles of your brush become worn with time and once they start to wear, they clean less effectively. It’s important to change your toothbrush or the brush head on your electric toothbrush frequently to ensure the best clean. Some brushes are marked with coloured indicators, which show you when you need to change your brush. Usually, brushes need to be replaced every 3-4 months
  2. Invest in an electric toothbrush: electric toothbrushes are proven to remove plaque more effectively than manual brushes, so we recommend investing in an electric brush. You don’t need to spend a lot of money and once you’ve bought the brush, you only need to buy replacement brush heads; brushes are available from £10 and they are easy to use. If you want to pay a little more, you can benefit from additional features, including timers and different brushing modes.
  3. Be gentle: many people assume that the harder they brush, the better, but this is not true. In fact, brushing too hard can actually be harmful for the teeth because it can damage the enamel and cause it to become worn. If you’re using an electric toothbrush, the brush does all the hard work for you, so simply guide it along your teeth; you don’t need to apply any additional force or brushing motions.
  4. Reach right into the corners: when you are brushing your teeth, it’s really important to make sure that you cover every surface of every tooth and reach right into the corners of the mouth. We also recommend using inter-dental brushes to clean between the teeth.

If you have any questions or concerns about teeth cleaning, don’t hesitate to ask our dentists or dental hygienists for advice.

You Won’t Be Vexed By Our Stylish London Veneers

3177562_blogIf the dark autumnal days are getting you down, a new smile could be just the tonic. With our veneers, we can transform any smile to banish those blues and have you beaming with joy.

About veneers

Veneers are one of the most popular cosmetic dental treatments and we recommend them for anyone who wants a stunning, flawless smile. Veneers are extremely thin shells of laminated ceramic (normally porcelain), which are shaped and coloured to mimic natural teeth; they are placed on top of the teeth to create a beautiful smile.

Veneers are a solution for chipped and worn teeth and discolouration and they can also be a great remedy for anyone who would love a more radiant and attractive smile.

Lumineers

We are delighted to offer Lumineers, which are ultra-thin veneers made from patented material. These veneers create amazing smiles, but they are also up to twice as strong as traditional porcelain veneers. Lumineers are made by Cerinate and they are famed for producing a natural look. As well as being durable and hard-wearing, Lumineers also require minimal preparation because they are so thin.

Da Vinci veneers

Da Vinci veneers are the Hollywood stars of the cosmetic dentistry world and they are often featured on television makeover shows. These veneers are renowned for producing glamorous red-carpet worthy smiles and the treatment process is very simple; in just two sessions, your new smile will be ready to show off to the world.

If you’re interested in veneer treatment or you fancy treating yourself to a brand new smile this autumn, ring our friendly reception team today and book your appointment. A new, bright smile could be on the horizon!

Invisalign Can Give You The Chance To Shine

4108709_blogIf you’ve ever been held back by your smile or you suffer from a lack of confidence because of crooked or crowded teeth, Invisalign is here to let you unleash your potential and live life to the full. With this amazing treatment, you can enjoy a stunning smile and increased confidence.

Invisalign is a modern alternative to traditional orthodontics; rather than using a fixed brace, Invisalign uses custom-made clear plastic aligners to straighten the teeth and correct misalignment. These aligners are light and they are completely transparent, so they cannot be seen when you smile.

The benefits of Invisalign

People have been reluctant to have orthodontic treatment for decades because of the look of braces, but now, this is no longer an issue, as Invisalign aligners are virtually invisible. This means that you can have treatment without worrying about the stigma attached to wearing braces or suffering from low confidence as a result of your treatment. With this system, nothing needs to change except for the look of your smile when you take your braces off for the last time; you can eat and brush your teeth normally, speak clearly and you don’t need to wear a load of metal to get the smile of your dreams.

In addition to amazingly discreet aesthetics, Invisalign also provides comfortable and convenient treatment. There are no metal parts or bands and the forces that move the teeth are gentle; you can also take the aligners out to brush your teeth, which makes it much easier to keep your teeth and your brace clean.

The treatment process

Invisalign treatment is different to traditional treatment because it uses multiple devices, rather than a single brace. Each aligner is slightly different and treatment involves wearing each one for 2 weeks in the specified order. The aligners are designed to be removed when you eat and clean your teeth, but it’s essential that they are worn for at least 21 hours every day to make sure that treatment is successful.

We also offer Invisalign Teen for younger patients and Invisalign Lite for patients who only need minor correction.

Broken Tooth Torment Can Be A Thing Of The Past In London

If you have a broken tooth, you don’t have to suffer dental nightmares; we are here to help. We have a range of impressive restorative treatments on offer and we can repair the tooth and have you fighting fit and pain-free in no time.

There are many different causes of broken teeth, from sports injuries and trauma, to disasters involving bottle tops and hard sweets. Whatever the story, we have the solution.

Treatment for a broken tooth

If your tooth is chipped, we can repair it and restore its beauty very easily with a simple and highly effective procedure called cosmetic bonding. This treatment only takes an hour and there’s absolutely no pain involved; your dentist will use dental composite, a material also used for white fillings, to fill in the tooth and make your smile look amazing.

If you have a broken tooth, we may recommend a new crown. Crowns are placed over the top of the tooth to make them stronger; they are custom-made and we can use various different materials. Before a crown is placed, the tooth is prepared and this allows us to get rid of any damaged or decayed tooth tissue; once this has been done, we use putty to create a mould of the tooth and this is sent to the laboratory. Once your crown has been skilfully crafted by the expert technicians, it will be sent back to us and we will fit in. Crowns usually last around 10 years and they are a very effective means of strengthening and repairing a broken tooth; with a crown, you will be able to use the tooth normally.

If you’re in agony with a broken tooth or you’ve been wondering what to do about a chip for ages, why not give us a call and make an appointment?
